How to choose a dog boarding facility in Tallahassee
A short guide before you book.
Kennel or cage-free?
Some facilities use individual kennels, others offer open play and shared sleeping areas. Ask which suits your dog’s temperament and energy.
Ask about overnight supervision
Find out whether staff are on site overnight and how often dogs are let out and checked.
Check vaccines and requirements
Most facilities require current rabies, DHPP and bordetella vaccines, and many ask for a temperament test or trial day.
Tour the facility
Look for clean runs, fresh water, good ventilation, secure fencing and staff who know the dogs by name.
Book early for holidays
Boarding fills up fast around summer and major holidays, so reserve weeks ahead and confirm cancellation terms.
Try a daycare day first
For first-timers, a short daycare visit shows how your dog copes before you commit to a longer stay.
Request a boarding quote
Tell us what your dog needs and we’ll pass your request to a facility who can help.
